Does anyone know how https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/103496-fix-for-perflib-1008-errors to fix them? Microsoft Technet is stupid on this one. Here is one of the errors: The Open Procedure for service "WmiApRpl" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the data section contains the error code. I am getting this for service Lsa, ESENT, BITS and aspnet_state as well. Please help! I have an application that runs a mailer, and it will perflib error not run. The app runs on SQL. Thanks! I still perflib error server dont understand how a brand new install can have performance counter errors, but this happens on many new win7 machines on my network as well as server 2008. There is an article about resetting the variables windows loads for these counters, but i have tried it with no success in the past. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299059
this is for windows 2000, i wonder if ms thinks it doesnt happen anymore. 0 Mace OP Sosipater Jul 1, 2010 at 9:35 UTC A few questions: I'm guessing this isn't on install, but your first line makes me just want to confirm that fact. So are you getting event log errors for LSA, ESENT, BITS, and aspnet_state, or are those threads you're trying to run through perfmon? If those are event log errors and not perfmon, I'd point the finger at your network/NIC/switch first. 0 Datil OP momurda Jul 1, 2010 at 9:44 UTC right, but im just saying these errors shouldnt happen at all. they are built in counters that dont work out of the box. the counters dont seem to have any effect on system performance either from my experience. i have never seen them affect an application being able to run or not. they are just counters. 0 Mace OP Sosipater Jul 1, 2010 a
