Cause Missing Print Spooler File The missing file is the "spoolsv.exe" and should be located in the print spooler service following location: C:\WINDOWS\system32 There are three options you can consider. The first is to copy the spoolsv.exe from a Windows XP CD and paste it in the following directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32 The second option is to simply copy it from another Windows XP computer and paste that file in the following location: C:\WINDOWS\system32 The third option is to simply download the file from this website, simply click the link spoolsv.exe Once the above is complete, the service must be started right click my computer, click manage, on the left click services and applications, click services. on the right side, look for print spooler, double left click on it, select start, close the system services window.
