By fcui21 · 9 years ago I'm getting an error when attempting to print or add a printer. The error I am receiving states "Could not start the Print Spooler service on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start". I don't know what caused this all of a sudden but I can't do anything with my printer at this moment. I have an HP all in one printer and my operating system is Windows XP. Any insight on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated! Look for print spooler and stop this service.5. Open a command prompt windows and type the following:sc config spooler depend= rpcss6.
