Anybody thinks I can fix this with out reinstalling ProTools (I lost the disc ), or if anybody would be kind enough to point me to the right informative direction? My ProTools: Mac OS X Digidesign Focusrite M Box Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 1991-2005 Any help will be greatly appreciated Thank you LitheVite View Public Profile Send a private message to LitheVite Find all posts by LitheVite #2 12-29-2007, 04:47 AM Phil Ogden Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 2,102 Re: Dam!!! NeoAccess Error!!!! How can I fix this??? :( HELP Have you tried trashing DDB's and Prefs? This is your first 'port of call'. Databases and Volumes This step can be useful when receiving random 'assertion' or 'neoaccess' errors, especially when recording or saving. -Delete the Digidesign Databases folders on the first level of all mounted hard drives, then delete the "Volumes" folder in MacHD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Databases. -Empty trash, then restart the computer. http://www.myspace.com/philogg Phil Ogden View Public Profile Send a private message to Phil Ogden Find all posts by Phil Ogden #3 12-29-2007, 09:31 AM priorytools Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: UK Posts: 902 Re: Dam!!! I need help. I just bought an Mbox and a PowerBook G4 and recently got the Pro Tools upgrade so that it's compatible with Tiger. Now I can get it up and running, get a session going, get signal going from the mic and even start recording. Sounds great, https://www.sweetwater.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-8944.html eh? But then the thing won't stop recording. I hit stop or the space bar or anything and it just keeps going and going and going. One time it stopped recording and all seemed okay. I went to play it http://www.protoolers.com/forums/topic/2989-messaggio-derrore-durante-il-salvataggio/ back and there was nothing on the track and again the thing would not stop playing no matter how many times I hit stop or the space bar. I eventually had to close out of Pro Tools altogether. I have received pro tools a couple of error messages so if anyone knows what they mean and can help me out I'd really appreciate it. One pop up says DAE error 9031 and another time when I tried to stop recording a pop up said "Could not complete your request because Neo Access Error." lvjazzman07-05-2005, 04:59 PMYour best bet is to search for those errors on Digidesigns Answerbase (in support section of their site). I tried with the info you gave and came up with pro tools 6.9.2 a few solutions, too many to cut and paste here... More info on your setup would help too... How much RAM, exact versions of OS (X.4.?) and PTLE (6.?), and are you using your internal drive only, or are you using an external hard drive (you should be using an external Firewire drive to record audio to)? Try the answerbase, and also post some more info if you can. Ray Hedgpeth07-05-2005, 08:14 PMOK I'll try the Answerbase. The other info you asked about: I have Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger), Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 (the update for Tiger)and 512 MB of RAM. No, I'm not using an external hard drive. Can that cause a lot of problems? Thanks for your input. lvjazzman07-06-2005, 03:35 PMYes, the internal drive on laptops from the factory are usually 5400 RPM, sometimes lower, sometimes 7200 RPM, but you need a 7200 rpm drive for best results. Also, recording audio to your system drive (the one containing your OS) is not recomended even if it IS a 7200 RPM drive, since the computer is having to access your OS, ProTools and write audio all at the same time (a challenge for a 7200 RPM drive, let alone 5400 RPM). Check out the answerbase, and also check into getting an external Firewire hard drive. The drive may fix your problems but it is hard to say. It is the first thing I would try.
