We have Pro Tools in two production studios and we never had had any problems with it, until a few weeks ago. We started getting the following error message any time we would record, playback, or bounce; “Audio processing is conflicting with other CPU tasks. If this occurs often, reducing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine Dialog may help prevent the problem. (-9129)” I tried reducing the buffer size one step, then I got a message saying that I needed to increase the buffer size. I have taken the following steps to try to fix the problem. 1. Installing SP 1 and 2. (These computers have never been hooked up to the internet) 2. Re-installing the driver for the processor (Suggested on the digidesign web page) 3. Deleting QuickTime (Suggested from a post on this web page) 4. I e-mailed digidesign (I have never tried getting tech support from them before, but I am not expecting quick or helpful information) Nothing worked. If any one has ANY ideas I would love to hear them. You may also want to look at all the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x General Troubleshooting thread, as something there may help. __________________ Avid Audio Tech Support Help us help you - read this before posting Support FAQ DigiTechSupt View Public Profile Send a private message to DigiTechSupt Visit DigiTechSupt's homepage!
