on a separate partician where I have installed ProTools Free. I get this DAE error (-6001) every time when opening Protools Free. I click through it twice, then my session opens. Does anyone else, http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Error_Message/en382451 and do I need to change a setting, or something to make it go away. buk50 View Public Profile Send a private message to buk50 Find all posts by buk50 #2 09-29-2003, 04:55 PM M.Brane Member Join Date: Jun 2001 Location: 1hr N/W of LA LA land Posts: 1,999 Re: what is DAE error -6001? The closest thing I could find in the Answerbase was DAE error http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=84915 -6008 which is a low memory error. How much RAM do you have? The iMac I'm using has 386Mb of RAM. I've checked the preferred memory for DAE and ProTools and it is set to default settings. It hasn't happened in a while, so I'm OK for now. Thanks for your input. buk50 View Public Profile Send a private message to buk50 Find all posts by buk50 #4 10-10-2003, 11:35 PM M.Brane Member Join Date: Jun 2001 Location: 1hr N/W of LA LA land Posts: 1,999 Re: what is DAE error -6001? That should be enough physical RAM. You might try bumping up the preferred memory setting on PTF & DAE. Just make sure you leave enough headroom for the system, and any other apps you might want open simultaniously, and don't change the minimum settings. 25, 2011 Fixes Leave aComment Tags: Pro Tools Lauched Pro Tools 9.0.3. Using a MOTU 828mkII interface. Got the -6001 error. Then PT would quit. MOTU's Audio Setup https://jeffseitz.wordpress.com/2011/08/25/dae-error-6001/ application recognized the interface but I noticed that the clock was not showing a sample rate. Turned the MOTU off and then back on. Clock lit 44.1kHz. Afterwards, PT launched just fine. Like this:Like Loading...
