Does ProTools really worth all the Trouble?? all the Hi everyone. I'd purchased an Mbox2 Pro interface several months ago and I'd installed ProTools 7.4 on my Windows XP SP2 machine. Since then, I wasn't able to work with ProTools at all. I keep getting the 9092 ("The operating system held off interrupts for too long. If thes occurs often, try increasing the H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel (-9092).") Of which I'd read about in several posts and DigiDesign answer base. Now, from my understanding, 9092 doesn't describe a specific issue. There are posts about processor affinity, slow hard drives, deleting DigiDesign databases and so on. Everyone solved the problem differently, except those, like myself, who haven't been able to solve it at all!! I consider myself to be an advanced user – You know, BIOS, hardware, msconfig, etc. but nothing worked. And there's also the compatibility issue… Tons of information about various hardware parts that needs to be compatible. I mean, what is the deal here?! I understand minimum hardware requirements, like any other software, but I'm drowning here, with all the Chipset, Firewire, disk and all these parts that I never noticed before!! Up until the purchase I used to work and create music, using a different software (Never mind the name…). No one needed to know the Chipset! It worked fine! Guess what?! It still works great with the Mbox 2 Pro!! That is really great. I bought an 800$ interface, with the intent to go into the ProTools world, and I'm still using that other software! Now, it would have been helpful to, at least, know what the problem is, so I could decide what to do! But from my understanding, people with entirely new computers are getting this problem. I would really appreciate someone or some utility to tell me: "Hey! Your CPU is not good enough. Replace it and everything will be fine!", or "Upgrade to SP3" or something like that. Please, anyone. I'm really frust
