clock. Check your clock source and sample rate. I recently installed Pro Tools 10 HD about a week ago. Every time I try to record or playback anything I get this error that says "Problem pro tools 12 clock source detected with audio clock. Check that your audio clock and sample rate are correct." I've gotten the error to go away TWICE by changing buffer sizes, # of processors, cpu usage, and cache size. However, it never fails for this error to come back if I ever decide to exit Pro Tools. Audio clock is set to INTERNAL, sample rate is 48 kHz. If I need to provide more information please let pro tools 11 clock source me know. I'm eager for this frustration to leave me. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ____ Toshiba Satellite L505, 4GB ram, i3 processor, "Realtek High Definition Audio", Windows 7 x64, MBox Mini 2, Pro Tools 10 HD version 10.3.0.28 sleeptalken View Public Profile Send a private message to sleeptalken Find all posts by sleeptalken #2 02-14-2013, 02:42 PM sleeptalken Member Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: Georgia Posts: 3 Re: Problem detected with audio clock. of these lightpipe devices, hook it up to your interface, and record enable your tracks you might notice some weird pops and clicks happening that are really annoying. This is the result http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=334589 of confusion on which device (your interface or lightpipe device) is acting as the clock source. Here's the quick and dirty way to fix things in Pro Tools. Once your lightpipe device is connected and powered up, go to the Setup menu and choose Hardware This will open up a box that shows what your current clock source is selected as. Usually "Internal". Which makes http://therecordingrevolution.com/2010/04/30/optimize-pro-tools-setting-your-clock-source/ sense, you're clocking with your audio interface's internal clock. But if you want multiple digital devices to play nice you'll need to let this new lightpipe device be the clock source. To do this simply click on the drop down box under Clock Source and choose Optical. Click OK and the problem should be fixed. Easy as pie! If at some point you power off your lightpipe device, Pro Tools will prompt you that it is reverting back to the internal clock as it no longer sees an external one. You can always switch this back if need be. Enjoy! Get Better Mixes By Simply Changing How You Start The first 60 minutes of your mix will affect everything. It's funny because I have been considering purchasing the DIGI 003 and, as I was doing some research, I ran into a person that recommended Eleven Rack. It surely is a powerful interface for guitarists (like me!). I found that Eleven Rack combines Pro Tools software with a high-resolution, dual DSP-powered audio interface so I

But when i open up a session and try to make it play i get a message saying "Problem detected with audio clock. Check that your clock source and sample rate are correct. Now i've checked in the session information and then gone to hardware and made sure the sample rates are the same (44.1) but i still cannot get anything to play. Is there a different way i'm meant to sync up the audio clock for the Focusrite? This was never an issue with the Mbox but i'm guessing becuase that is M-Audio it happily communicates better with Pro Tools. Anyway, thank you for your time and any insight into fixing this problem i'm having would be great. Make sure your Focusrite hardware is chosen in PT's hardware p
this tutorial we are going back to basics covering one of the very first processes you will have to perform after purchasing a copy of Pro Tools, hardware setup. You've just received your copy of Pro Tools, popped the discs in and installed the software but are now unable to record anything or on some systems even unable to boot up the software at all as it cannot find your hardware, this tutorial will explain how to get setup and ready so you can spend the time recording and mixing as you should!DriversBefore we start looking at the Pro Tools side of things we need to make sure the appropriate drivers have been installed, for those who are not aware, a driver is a small bit of software which allows your computer and hardware device to talk to each other. Most of the time a disk should come with your hardware which should have everything you need on it, but this isn't always the case. Thankfully in this modern digital age where downloads favour over disks, most drivers nowadays are just a click away from a search engine, I won't go into details here for places to obtain drivers as there are simply too many, but if you are really struggling then please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.Note: Bottom line of this section, the best start to avoid issues later on is to grab and install your drivers first.SetupSo now we have our drivers installed, we can open up Pro Tools and get stuck in.With the software loaded up, scroll across the menus at the top until you find one labelled ‘Setup‘, from there navigate to ‘Hardware…‘.Setup > HardwareYou will then be presented with the ‘Hardware Setup‘ window as shown below.Hardware Setup WindowThe left hand window will show a list of ‘Peripherals', this is basically a list of all the devices which Pro Tools has found that are capable or recording and playing back sound within your sessions, if your device is not listed here there is a fair chance you haven't got the correct drivers installed (see above) or even more simply have not yet attached the device correctly, sometimes something as simple as unplugging and then reconnecting a cable can fix an issue!Once you have clicked on the device you wish t
