Every time I try to launch PT, the process fails at "Creating DAE Objects...", throws a dialog that says "DAE error -1146 was encountered", and quits (after I hit OK). I've read through this thread, and tried a few things: http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread...highlight=1146 Here are my specs and the things I've tried: MacPro 3,1 Harpertown Dual Quad-Core 2.8 GHz processors 6 GBs RAM All hard drive slots filled (2 system drives; 1 just for PT which is running 10.6.3) PCIe Magma Chassis Host Card is the only PCI card installed in the machine Magma PE6R4 Chassis and host card are BRAND NEW (got them this past Friday) Pro Tools 8.0.4, installed from the 8.0.3 Full Installer + 8.0.4 Update 192 I/O is the only interface hooked up (I have a SYNC I/O but disconnected it for troubleshooting purposes) The computer is setup according to Digi's (sorry, AVID's) specs from the "Help Us Help You" thread. 1. Fresh install of 10.6.3 (10.6 fresh install + Combo Updater to 10.6.3... NOT done through Software Update). NO other apps besides a completely fresh PTHD 8.0.4 installed. None. No 3rd party plugs are installed, nor is the Creative Collection. 2. 1 HD PCI-X core card installed in the chassis. I have 2 Accel cards, but pulled them for troubleshooting purposes. The Core Card has occupied both the slot closest to the power supply, and the farthest from the power supply. Same results. 3. Moved the PCIe host card from the slot closest to the video card to the slot farthest from the video card. Same results. 4. The Core Card has passed DigiTest both while in the chassis, and in my old G5. 5. 10.6.3 with PT 8.0.3 didn't work either (not that I expected it too... it's not supported) 6. Reset PRAM after last fresh install That's about as far as I've gotten. From what I understand,

And BTW, do you guys have a stable HD system? Now and then I have the spinning wheel on PT HD 8 and must force quit. Do you have that kind of problem sometimes? http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=276555 Back to top #82 medialocal Posted 19 December 2010 - 08:57 PM medialocal InsanelyMac Protégé Just Joined 6 posts You should try and wait say 5 minutes. It happened that after my hackintosh crashed, I had to wait for minutes before PT HD 8 launches. The icon was jumping in the dock but nothing happened. It happened almost every time my computer crashed. How long have you been waiting for PT to launch?Brahamnesik,Thanks for the reply. I just re-installed and waited over 30 min. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/201195-pro-tools-hd-with-hackintosh-leopard-or-snow-leopard/page-5 It stops bouncing in the dock after a few minutes. It's then still running in the background and taking up 100% of one of my cores. However, I don't ever see the load window and it is not selectable in the menu (and can't command+tab to it).To everyone: I appologize. I am both a Hackintosh and Forum newbie. I thought that PT9 kind of greyed the LE/HD line. I will not post in this thread. Maybe some useless tips but what I'd do would be to try and switch applications using Command+Tab and also make sure that PT is not loaded in a different Space, so you should check your 4 spaces. Hope that makes sense! Back to top #84 manmal Posted 17 March 2011 - 03:47 AM manmal InsanelyMac Sage Members 443 posts Hi, do you know any other motherboard with x58 chipset compa

If this is a problem that gradually started happening, it's more than likely a bad card. A bad chip, which may not show up in Digitest. Before doing anything else, have you done an uninstall and reinstall of protools? Delete any preferences and databases? Here's some guidance from the Avid site:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_U ... delete_pro Username pettje Posts 250 Joined Sat Jun 29, 2013 8:11 pm Re: error -1146 question from Facebook #709byNinoBoy Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:51 am hello, i disconnected the rosetta 800 and now it works fine. problem is the rosetta. anyone a idea what know? bed rosetta? when i turnd on it looks like it work... So before you call the technical support line, take a look at Sound On Sound 's guide to diagnosing and fixing the most common faults. For the first of our Pro Tools workshops, we're going to look at some of the most common problems that can occur when you're using the program — usually when you're in a crucial session, or up against an immovable deadline! As you've probably found, Pro Tools has a habit of generating some rather cryptic error messages when things go wrong, so firstly, let's see if we can demistify some of these. * DAE error 9035 This can come up for one of two reasons. One is that the drive that you use for audio (and you aren't using the drive that has your operating system and applications, are you?) is getting close to full. The best way to resolve this is to use a different drive with more space on it. Failing that, clear some space on your audio drive by backing up some old Sessions and then deleting them. To stop this error message returning you may also need to defragment your drive, so that the empty space on your drive is all in the same place rather than scattered across the drive in little pieces. However, if it's an emergency and you don't have time to clean up your drive properly, you can get some short-term relief from this error by reducing the Open Ended Record Allocation to a smaller value. This is done by going into Preferences in the Setup menu; in the Operat
