I got a new external hard drive, I partitioned the drive then copied my old drive to the new drive. When I open up a Protools session and then the corresponding Reason File from the new hard drive Protools gives me this error (DAE error-9131). I then have to force quit my session. When I open the same files on my old drive there's no problems and no errors. Can someone please shed some light on this problem for me. Setup: Mac Pro 8 Core OSX 10.5.4 DIGI .002 Rack Pro Tools 7.4.2 splyman View Public Profile Find all posts by splyman #2 09-04-2008, 03:14 PM splyman Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Posts: 5 Re: DAE error -9131. What does this mean? I may have jumped the gun on this one, i answered my own question. I partitioned the drive as os extended (case sensitive, journaled) which caused the dae error. I re partitioned the drive as os extended (journaled) and that solved the problem. Hopefully someone else will find this information useful. splyman View Public Profile Find all posts by splyman #3 03-07-2009, 09:30 AM noize Member Join Date: Jun 1999 Location: Miami, Fl Posts: 206 Re: DAE error -9131. What does this mean? Ive just discovered that FW drives with the GUID partition scheme that 10.5 likes will cause this error on 10.4 rigs... just reformat with the old apple partition scheme. bobdodgy View Public Profile Send a private message to bobdodgy Visit bobdodgy's homepage!
