Posts: 77 Re: Authorization Errors? sounds like your HD in the back up unit is not setup up as a recordable drive. you probably have it set up as a transfer drive but it has to be record enabled. http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=134370 should give directions. __________________ Jose [B]mac pro, 8-core, 32gb ram, 003r, PT 11.0.3, Welcome to the house of holy cabbage. I just moved it to another computer and I'm using it with the same externals where all the sessions reside. I checked and they were all set to "R". __________________ ProTools LE 8.0.3 iMac Dual 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4 GB RAM 1 TB Seagate External HD bigcow View Public Profile Send a private message to bigcow Visit bigcow's ho

Hi , I would like to help with the question.error 14404Random assertion errors are usually caused by a corrupted database file and trashing them should fix the issue.Delete Databases and Volumes This step can be useful when receiving random 'assertion' or 'neoaccess' errors, especially when recording or saving. -Delete the "Digidesign Databases" folders on the first level http://www.justanswer.com/mac-computers/3q4qq-getting-anerror-message-14404-pro-tools-le8-can-t.html of all mounted hard drives. -Delete the "Volumes" folder: Pro Tools versions 7.3 and earlier it's located in MacHD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Databases. Pro Tools 7.4 and higher will find it in MacHD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Databases > Unicode. -Empty trash, then restart the computer.-The ProTools Prefs & Database Helper can help with database errors.See digidesign database button in the helper application.http://www.jcdeshaies.com/I hope this helps.Thanks.Edited by iteachmac on 7/10/2010 at 8:58 AM EST Ask Your Own Mac Question Customer: replied6 years ago. This was copied verbatim from the Pro Tools web site. I lost several hours of session work waiting for some information to save (which protools wouldn't allow because of the error. In the end I had to shut down the session and re-record everything. Inexplicablysuch is the weird mystery of ProTools I didn't have the problem again. Expert: iteachmac replied6 years ago. Sometimes it just gives me the message saying "Couldn't backup session", and after that I can't even save the project manually, cause it says "Cannot save session because while translating tracks".
