Your disk may be too slow...firewire, etc., etc. (-9019)" which is followed by a beachball and then: Quote: "DAE error -9031 was encountered." And this repeats until we quit the app and relaunch. Sometimes hours go by with no problem, sometimes we get this 3 times in an hour. We haven't seen this in PTHD, only on the PTLE/CPTK system listed below. We tried trashing databases and volumes folder. Everything else about 8.0.3 is great. BUT, I had this problem in a session with no video today and low track count. As far as I can tell, the only variable in my otherwise stable system was moving to 8.0.3. reichman View Public Profile Send a private message to reichman Visit reichman's homepage! Sign in to disable this ad Hello folks, I am about to throw in the towel. I am getting a DAE error -9019 and -9073. (DAE is having trouble keeping up. Your disk may be too slow or fragmented.) I have done everything possible. I have defragmented, disabled adapters, increased buffer sizes....and so on. http://homerecording.com/bbs/general-discussions/recording-techniques/dae-error-please-help-222613/ I have a brand new Dell dimension E510 with 1 GB ram and 160GB hard drive. On my last system I had two hard drives with Pro Tools LE 7 installed on the primary and saving the session files on the secondary...and I never had these DAE errors. Is my last resort to take the secondary hard drive out of the old system and put it in the new one? I realize that I should not be saving Pro Tools files on the main system drive. However, I did not think that this would be an issue because afterall, the DELL Dimension has a 160 GB drive. It was working fine at first but now... Please help out a hopeless soldier boy here!!! It looks like it isn't the size that is hurting you, but the speed of the harddrive trying to read and write all that info going back and forth at the same tim

New Reply Thread Tools Search thread 13th June 2009 #1 Rqrstudio Gear Head Thread Starter PTLE -9019 error?? This is REALLY weird. "DAE is having trouble keeping up"?? Ive had no problems. Its PTLE so yeah, it crashes once in a while. But nothing like pro tools error this. Last night my band was over demoing a new song we wrote and everything was running smooth. I brought the session up today and got this -9019 error and nothing will play back. I opened up some other older session, same thing. I get the error and no audio. When i select the scrub tool and click on some audio it freezes for a second and i get a generic "pro tools had an error" message. When i opened an old session that i had no audio files in it (an "untitled" session that got plopped somewhere for no reason) it plays and works smooth. The second i import an audio file and press play i get the -9019 error and no playback. What the F would cause this??? I read a bunch about it. Some people say copying to a new drive and writing it back to the audio drive solved it. Not for me. I have been on Windows XP for a few years. 2 Seagate drives, one system, one audio. ANYONE? VERY frustrating... I moved it to an
