This could be due to I/O settings being setup wrong. You could try the following:-First go to Setup>Playback Engine and see if the device you want to use is selected there :-If this is selected, then go to the Setup>I/O... window, the Output tab, and Delete all the entries there one by one then click once on Default. Do the same for the Input tab (if you feel you might have the same problem with Inputs as well):-This will reset your I/O setup configuration to reflect the currently connected device, but only after you click OK.-Once done this will also reset all the Input and Output settings for all the tracks in your current session, so you will need to set the I/O settings for every track in your current session as needed:Additionally, you can read more about I/O setup in Chapter 7 of the Pro Tools 11 reference guide, available with your Pro Tools installat

I keep getting this IO -5 error (something about translation) when I open projects. New projects open fine. No previous projects will stay open (they load plugins/waves/etc then crash on the main screen). I've trashed prefs, reinstalled PT, Sync'd my iLok/plugin-alliance/etc. to no avail. I have NO idea where to go from here. I'm at my wit's end! Any ideas??? Backup drive is corrupt (damn Mac switch!) Any good tools for recovering hard drives to put on others??? Share Quote Loading mentioned products ...
