I am using Windows 7, no other programs are giving me this problem. I have tried uninstalling Pro Tools and then reinstalling, restoring my computer back a few days, running an AVG registy cleaner, and nothing is working. Any ideas on what to do? I’m frustrated Edit Delete Charles August 04, 2013 07:05 Pro Tools won't start due to "Unable to Locate Hardware" which is already plugged in (by usb). Edit Subject When I first start pro tools express that came with purchase of my Akai EIE , I get a box come up that is titled "Initialization Error" with the message "Code: -7." Then I click the OK button, then another box comes up with the message "Unable to locate hardware. Make sure your hardware is connected and turned on . Click "OK" when hardware is ready." My AKAI EIE is already plugged in and on. If I click ok, the same message keeps coming up, have not been able to ever actually start Pro Tools yet. 6 people havethis question +1 follow Answered 5527481 Link Short URL Reply CHAMP 0 Edit Delete Remove Official Fork SimonInAustralia August 04, 2013 10:29 Maybe check this for the Code 7 error message, not sure if it applies to your issue, or if the two error messages are related... http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/a...
