After connecting the PS3 directly to the cable modem, dlna protocol error 2101 fix the PS3 worked fine. So we then knew the problem had to be with the Linksys router configuration. After checking out the router settings, we figured out that UPnP was enabled. The UPnP feature is

supposed to automatically grant permission to devices to access needed network resources. It doesn't always play well with certain devices though. So we disabled UPnP with these steps: Login to the Linksys router's admin panel. You can usually get there by opening a web browser and going to "http://192.168.1.1" (usually this is the IP address used, but it may be different depending on your configuration) in a web browser. Go to

"Connectivity" in the left pane. Click the "Administration" tab. Uncheck "UPnP" to disable it. Select "OK", and you're done. If you have a router from a different brand, check the user guide for information on how to disable this feature. Dlna Protocol Error 4405 Ps3
April 2012 in DLNA I'm not sure if this is actually limited to the PS3, but it's the only dlna protocol error 7522 ps3 DLNA client I have. Anyway... When I try to browse the folder of a particular TV show on my PS3 I'm getting the error "Media Server Error: A DLNA protocol error http://www.technipages.com/ps3-dlna-protocol-error-2101-fix (2110) has occurred" followed by "Media Server Error: A DLNA protocol error (2101) has occurred" and instead of the episode list I get "There are no titles." This also affects the "Recently Aired" and "Recently Added" folders due to episodes of the show being included in those lists as well. Looking at the server logs it seems the DLNA server dies and https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/40836/ps3-dlna-protocol-error-2110-has-occurred restarts when this happens. The show in question is Conan (as in the talk show on TBS). The only particularly unique thing about this show that I can think of is that when I did the original library scan it matched on Conan, an apparent Conan the Barbarian TV show, I then had to "Fix incorrect match" in Plex Media Manager. I thought originally that perhaps the parentheses in the filenames (e.g. "Conan (2010) - S01E01 - Guest Name Here.avi") might be problematic, but I have other shows named similarly that work fine. The server is v0.9.6.0.11 running on Ubuntu 11.04 and there doesn't seem to be any issue on the other (non-DLNA) clients I've tried (Windows and Android). I've attached what I think are the relevant logs. But with latest PS3-fw and latest offical fw for QNAP (TS-109) there are significant many more errors shown (f.e. DLNA 2106...). I recogniced some network connection loss ,too, with the current PS3/QNAP-fw configuration. This was never been before the case.I guess this happens because of UPNP-network-delays.greetings TS-119 // 3.3.8 build 1217T TS-209Pro2 // 3.3.0 build 0924TWindows 7 Professional 64 Bit // GermanTS-109: no RAID, Western Digital WD7500AYYSTS-209Pro2: RAID 1, 2x WD7500AACS (Green Power)Services: Webfile-Manager, Multimedia Station, UPnP, Download Station, QPKG on TS119: WordPress, XDoveexternal devices: sometimes diffrently USB-SticksNAS connections: 1Gbit/s, Jumbo Frames 9000 Top Doozer Getting the hang of things Posts: 55 Joined: Fri Apr 04, 2008 7:53 pm Model: TS-x51/x51+/451S Re: DLNA Protocol Error (2101) on PS3 Quote Postby Doo
DLink DIR-685 (fw 2.0ww). I spent A LOT of time fiddling around with the settings, getting increasingly frustrated about the gap between advertising an realitiy concerning DLNA. Whatever, the main problem seems to be that the DIR-685 is painstakingly slow in refreshing the media content. Try a chosing very small folder (not root or the HDD, but a subdirectory) with a dozen pictures or songs in it as streaming sorce and press "refresh". Wait until the DIR-685 finishes refreshing, then let the PS3 search for new media servers. I found out that everything works out fine then.BUT: when I chose my whole music and pictures folders (about 60 gig, including HD videos), the DIR-685 will not finish refreshing. The firmware is so buggy that it will log you out before the refreshing finishes. Result on the PS3: DLNA protocol error 2114. Oos, sorry, I should have posted it in the DIR-685 section but the firmware - and the error for sure - is probably the same. Maybe someone can move the post...So in the end, I could avoid the 2114 error when chosing small folders, refreshing completey and not chosing a root directory. In the end I found out that its easier to copy the whole picture and music stuff onto a simple USB drive. Still quite annoying that D-link does not provide what they advertise. So if anyone knows how the refreshing process with the DIR 685 could be accelerated....cheers! tmeh: I recently received the error: "DLNA protocol error (2101)". I did found the solution for that, and perhaps this will remove any other or similar error with the DLNA protocol error. I take it that this problem 9/10 times happens on Linux. Based on that i have been searching and analyzing. When you have a folder shared in PMS, go to the terminal and head into the folder that you have shared.(in my case that would have been "cd /home/username/Music/")type for example "ls -ltr"As you can see, if i am correct, the writing / sharing / reading rights for certain files will cause this error. When you are in the sharing folder, now type: "chmod 775 *" This means that you give all access rights to the fi
