Outlook Is Unable To Connect To The Proxy Server Error Code 10 Exchange 2013
Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server.(Error Code 10) I Use TMG 2010 as my proxy server for the internet andI need some help on this one to fix this. Can someone tll me how to fix this issue? Thanks Yosh,--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOSHIKA04 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Friday, March 25, 2011 5:23 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hello, Firstly, outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server error code 18 I would like to ask whether the symptom occurs on an Internal Outlook client or an external Outlook client. If it occurs on an External Outlook client, I think we are using Outlook Anywhere and we have to add the “mail.abc-company.com” to the domain names in the certificate. If the error occurs on Internal Outlook, we can workaround this issue by turning off “Outlook Anywhere” by: 1. On a problematic Client, open Outlook. 2. Click Tools >> Account settings. 3. Double click the profile name and click More Settings. 4. On the Connection tab, uncheck on “Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP”. 5. Save the changes and restart the Outlook to check this issue. How you accomplish that depends on your version of Exchange, and you didn't share that with us.Ed Crowley MVP "There are

She is the only user with this issue. She is using Outlook 2010 and uses this Terminal Server very frequently. The error reads: There is a problem with the proxy servers's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site [server.domain.com]. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error Code 0). We proxy server don't use a proxy server, nor is there any certificate that I'm aware of. Exchange isn't my strong point, so I was hoping you guys could help point me in the right direction! In the meantime, guess I'll call my buddy Google. Thanks Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: Outlook 2010 Proxy Server security certficate Proxy Server? We had it a while ago. Outlook tries to connect to Exchange over https, but this normally happens if the name on the certificate does not match the name of the exchange server you are trying to connect to. We found that you either have to regenerate the the certificate that exchange uses and include all the required names or you have to change the settings in outlook to only connect over http. The last mentioned option is less secure, but a lot easier to do. 2 Serrano OP CFonseca Jan 27, 2014 at 3:14 UTC Thank you for the suggestion. The issue seems to have corrected itself for the time being and I'm not quite sure what happened, but I will give that a try if it happens again. Also, if you have an Enterprise Root CA, its certificate is automatically installed in CA and will automatically be distributed to each computer upon startup (so reboot if possible). Also, why aren't you using a commercial CA certificate for Outlook Anywhere? _____________________________Elan Shudnow Exchange MVP http://www.shud
