I do not know what it is about these errors because the CSS has been decrypted, and is showing two VOB tracks, despite containing 6. I'm using a VPS with OpenVZ Debia 7 x64 and can not mount a virtual disk. If dvdnav read error i extract the files.VOB and convert them to .mkv, subtitles are in black and there are some lacks in the video/audio (and in the conversion log). In addition to the disruption of menus. i run the default HB command, it dont convert and returns some errors. Is there a way to compress the iso and preserve all DVD structure? Or if it not possible, set a color to subtitles? Code: # HandBrakeCLI -i dvd.iso -o test.mkv ... Join Date Jul 2014 Beans 79 Find DVD using command line Hi All, i just installed ubuntu 14.04 using my optical drive. I inserted a dvd into it, how do I find that dvd from the command line? This is a headless server and I am trying to write a bash scrip to detect my dvd. My script was Code: if [ $ID_CDROM_MEDIA_DVD" == "" ] then echo "No DVD detected" >> /etc/udev/rules.d/DetermineMediaType.log else echo "DVD detected" >> /etc/udev/rules.d/DetermineMediaType.log fi exit 0 this code returns "no dvd detected" even though there is a dvd in my drive. i now am manually trying to see if I can see the dvd in a folder but my /media/cdrom is empty, where is my dvd stored? I am completely new to ubuntu so I am not sure if I have to mount (not quite sure what this means) it or something first to see the dvd, but like I said I know the drive works because I installed ubuntu from the drive. Thanks for any help. Adv Reply August 3rd, 2014 #2 sudodus View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message sutireme Join Date Nov 2011 Location /dev/root BeansHidden!
