However, the other night I popped the sd card into my computer and deleted some photos/saved some on my computer. Now when I look at photos on my camera, after a certain point I will get a "Read Error" Message and I can't see any of the photos. But if I click the arrow the other way I can see photos again. It only happens when I reach a certain part in the series of photos and always after the same photo. I'm very new to all of this, does anyone know what happening? PLEASE HELP. Did you try the card in another device? Another camera or a computer to see if you get a read error as well? Save all your pictures in your computer and reformat your sd card again
 thisisatypo 2 posts Posted March 2, 2014 But I just bought this SD card along with the camera... I'm basically new to everything haha. Share this post Link to post Share on ot

Cleaned contacts but dirty SD contacts have never in four years given me a problem 3. Camera malfunction I hope not! 1 - the SD card is a 512 cheapo thing I nicked from my sister http://www.fujix-forum.com/threads/read-error.2306/ until my fancy 'PRO' one comes tomorrow. But strange, card was working OK all day. Even weirder, I can actually view the image for a second or so before it displays the error... The camera seems fine when reading it's own internal memory - think it's the SD or the camera? Thanks! rebelsatellite, Sep 1, 2011 #3 helios660 Premium Member Messages: 776 Likes Received: 146 Location: New York City -Return to Top- did you format it? -the SD card........ A complete list of approved memory cards is available at http://www.fujifilm.com/support/ digital_cameras/compatibility/. Operation is not guaranteed with other cards. The camera can not be used with xD-Picture Cards or MultiMediaCard (MMC) devices. helios660, Sep 1, 2011 #6 rebelsatellite New Member Messages: 50 Likes Received: 1 -Return to Top- Ironically, it's a Fujifilm 512mb SD card. rebelsatellite, Sep 1, 2011 #7 helios660 Premium Member Messages: 776 Likes Received: 146 Location: New York City -

I.E., to be clear, I formatted it, used the it, took pics fine, then it got super slow so I formatted it a second time and it was ok. Yesterday/today a similar issue happened which again was based on the memory cards, which is weird. There was an ace sunset last night so I took loads of pictures of it and evidently one of these pictures pushed me over 2000 images. fuji x100 card It appears every 1000 images the camera takes it creates a new folder so 100_fuji is images 0-999, 101_fuji is 1000-1999 etc. Evidently last night's shooting took me over 2000 and I see, from looking at the card, that this therefore created 102_fuji. So I go today to take more pictures and the camera won't work properly,it turns on but no displays comes up, I can see the faint opaque projected display but I can't see any data and I can't take and pictures. Oh dear I think but after thought take the memory card out and turn the camera on - it works fine with no card in. Hmm. So like before I then put another memory card in and again, everything's fine. So I copy the original card to my computer then delete the contents of the DCIM folder - i.e. I delete the 101_fuji folder and the newly created from yesterday's shooting 102_fuji folder. I then put the card back in the camera - and t's fine - so I reformat the card and it's fine still. So I thought - I wonder if the camera messes up when it hits every 000 shots, i.e. if it has some trouble here and requires a memory card change at this point. But I looked into my 100_fuji folder - and it actually only goes up to 99 images. I.E. I hadn't in fact taken 2000 images, I've actually taken just over 1100 - 99 from 100_fuji and 1000 from 101_fuji plus the 2 that takes me into 102_fuji. So I had the first p
