I looked through old posts for similar issues but the only ones I've found referred to mounting the partition whereas I can't even see mine. I ran fdisk -l in the terminal and got this as my output: Disk /dev/sda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x48000000 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 1 14593 117217248+ 5 Extended /dev/sda5 1 1316 10568704 7 HPFS/NTFS /dev/sda6 1317 1814 4000153+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda7 1815 4304 20000893+ 83 Linux /dev/sda8 4305 14593 82646361 83 Linux To me, this seems to be saying that that sda1 (which I definitely did not deliberately create during the install; I only created /, /home, and /swap and left the NTFS partition untouched) is somehow overlapping with all of my other partitions. I also installed GParted and it is only able to see a 111.79GB unallocated partition. The installation partition program for both Ubuntu 8.04 and 9.04 give the same result. The installation partition program for openSuse 11.1 gives a result similar to fdisk and can see both the sda1 partition and the other parti

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart." while booting my BOOTCAMP partition. I have seen a lot of threads about this topic but for me no solution helped as it looks like this error is a very common error for different errors.I use an iMac (Late 2013) with a 1GB Fusion Drive. I tried to repair my partition via the read error disk utility but it's just tellin me that I should backup all my files. I don't have a problem with repaving my system but I want to have at least a backup of the latest files. I fear an installation, even without formatting the drive, overwrites my user folder. I also have Paragon. Does it contain an additional repair tool for NTFS drives? This is read error at my current distutil output:/dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *121.3 GB disk0 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_CoreStorage 121.0 GB disk0s2 3: Apple_Boot Boot OS X 134.2 MB disk0s3/dev/disk1 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *1.0 TB disk1 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk1s1 2: Apple_CoreStorage 298.7 GB disk1s2 3: Apple_Boot 650.1 MB disk1s3 4: Microsoft Basic Data Untitled 700.0 GB disk1s4/dev/disk2 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD *411.2 GB disk2 Logical Volume on disk0s2, disk1s2Thank you so much for any help! iMac, Windows 7, null Posted on Apr 19, 2015 7:25 AM I have this question too by Loner T,Solvedanswer Loner T Level 7 (24,969 points) Safari A: Assuming you have iMac and W7 (based on your signature), do you still have the original Windows installer (DVD, USB, or both)? If you do, you can try,1. Insert DVD or USB.2. Go To System Preferences -> Startup Disk -> select Bootcamp -> click Restart.3. It should boot from the Installer. 4. You should see a Repair option similar to the attached screen shots - https://imgur.com/a/1DaOE#0 (this is from my MBP). Posted o
