This also appears between 3.1.6 and 3.2.0 and makes me wonder about "Mapnik GDAL plugin now keeps datasets open for the lifetime of the datasource (rather than per featureset)" (from the change log). Mapnik member springmeyer commented May 8, 2015 yeah. I also wonder if mapnik/mapnik#2686 is the cause. Another potential idea though: are you using any other gdal version besides what the node-Mapnik binaries are bringing in? Mapnik member mojodna commented May 8, 2015 Not unless it's picking up libgdal1h installed via apt. Would it? Mapnik member springmeyer commented May 8, 2015 Not unless it's picking up libgdal1h installed via apt The only way that would happen is if LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to point at /usr/lib Mapnik member mojodna commented May 8, 2015 These remain intermittent, but don't appear to segfault after mapbox/tilelive-mapnik@37a9681 Mapnik member brianreavis commented May 13, 2015 I'm also getting these intermittently (node-mapnik 3.3.0). Like @mojodna said, consistent repro is proving to be difficult. If there's anything else I can provide or ways to help, let me know!
