Read Error On File _catalogs/lt/.stp
Read error on file when saving list astemplate Posted on February 13, 2014 by Christopher Clement Hello everyone, Today I'll talk about a problem that may occur when you try to create a list template. It may happen that you have this error message "Read error on file _catalogs/lt/yourtemplatename.stp" This error occurs if you have exceeded the number of allowed lookup for list views (default 8) To save your template list, you can change the value of the threshold in the central administration: Go to the Central Administration Select your web application In the "General settings" menu click on "Resource Throttling" and increase the "List View Lookup Threshold" field Hope this helps Christopher. I have finally gotten http://www.dotnetspark.com/links/47949-read-error-on-file-_catalogswtsitetemplate1stp.aspx my company to give SharePoint a fair shake, and now I may have a http://www.networksteve.com/enterprise/topic.php/Read_error_on_file_%22_catalogs/wt/SiteTemplate1.stp%22./?TopicId=4914&Posts=1 crippled site. I was working on a SharePoint site yesterday and ran into a problem that I have never seen before. I went to save the site as a template and received this error: Read error on file "_catalogs/wt/SiteTemplate1.stp". I cannot create site templates from anywhere on the site. I am using WSS only. I can read error still create list templates. I also cannot create a site based on templates that I created when I was able to, but I can create sites based on the default site templates. I have another site setup on another virtual server on the same box, and I can create the templates. So this looks to be site specific. I need to fix this. I hope someone knows what I read error on can do. This is triggered in an Event Receiver on the Document Library where the Excel file lives. I use a simple CAML Query to retrieve the file. This has worked just fine on a dev/test server. Now, I just recently deployed this solution to a production/live server and now this code doesn't work anymore. I get an error saying 'The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout'. This happnes when I try clientContext.ExecuteQuery(); The difference between the two servers is that on the test server (where it works) the solution is sitting as the root site, so to speak. No host headers or nothing. On the live server, there are several web applications (SharePoint) on the same port, but with different host headers. I have tried to trace a little bit and I found that on the test server, the url that is used to create the ClientContext object is 'http://
