I have a computer running Windows XP SP3 with all http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?42952-AutoCAD-LT-2006-Visual-C-Runtime-Error!-Object-Enabler-message the latest updates. When I start up AutoCAD LT 2006 and open a drawing, I get an error, and a subsequent crash of AutoCAD LT 2006: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD LT 2006\aclt.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I have tried: - Enabling the "Check Web for Live Enablers" option - Installing the Autodesk Building Systems 2006 LT Object Enabler - Installing the Autodesk Architectural 2006 Object Enabler - Installing the Service Pack 1 from Autodesk - Installing the OEHotfix from Autodesk - Uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD LT 2006 - Running windows updates - Uninstalling everything from add/remove programs having to do with Microsoft Visual C++ - Uninstalling everything from add/remove programs having to do with .NET framework - Reinstalling all the updates related to .NET Framework - Making women feel uncomfortable Any other ideas? Edit: I isolated the issue further and found that the Object Enabler message I was getting is not related to the crash. Last edited by uhcafigdc; 11th Dec 2009 at 07:33 pm. Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error- Virtualdns.dll Started by Jerold , Mar 31 2006 11:59 AM This topic is locked 9 replies to this topic #1 Jerold Jerold TEG Forum Member Members 24 posts Posted 31 March 2006 - 11:59 AM I kept getting this error message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe Abnormal Program Termination Add-on Problem: VirtualDNS.dll Whenever I tried to use IE, it wouldn't load my home page then the message would appear. I went into "Manage Add-ons" and it showed that there was a problem with "VirtualDNS.dll". I just disabled it and IE seems to work fine. Is there any way to repair this dll file? See here for info on what you want.Guess not. I ran Windows Defender and it didn't come up as spy/malware. What's the best way to get rid of it? Do I need to Re-Enable it before I can get rid of it so the system can recognize it?Thanks,JErold 0 Back to top #4 quietman7 quietman7 Elder Janitor & Bug Exterminator Admin 11,529 posts Gender:Male Location:Virginia, USA Posted 31 March 2006 - 01:28 PM Lets have a deeper look to see if anything else is lurking about. Go here and follow the directions for posting a log in the HJT forum. You can skip all the scans for now. Just download HJT, run a scan and post a log for me to check. If you can do this right away, I will look over the log as soon as its posted. If not, I leave work in an hour and probably will not get to it until later this evening. If that's the case then go ahead and do all the recommended scans before posting.
