Another person(who is no longer reachable) wrote this database and there ms access runtime error are several bugs in it. The first comes when trying to access an input form. It is "run-time error '2683'. There is no object in this control. When I select the 'debug' option, the following statement is highlighted: "calDate.Value=GCalDate". I believe what happens on this form is that when it is first opened, the "date" control box is populated with the current date. However, because of this error, it is not functioning. When I try opening the form "calendar" that was

created for this purpose, it gives a message "There is no object in this control". One thing I noticed is that the form works well with Access 2003 and 2007. i was trying to edit it using access 2010 on my laptop and I noticed this error. Any idea how I can get rid of this error in 2010 version? This Calendar control had a value property. It seems that Access 2010 doesn't support this ActiveX control. On the other hand, in Access 2010 you can add a datepicker to any bound textbox if the data type is of Date/Time. A datepicker can be added to an unbound textbox as per the instructions here. If you want something that is compatible with both Access 2003 and 2010, search for "access custom calendar control", to find something like the calendar form here. share|improve this answer answered Nov 14 '12 at 23:25 Zev Spitz 3,2331742 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Here's a solution I've applied to make it possible to use

This code has never been an issue until now. They have a database that uses date functions, and we are getting this error. Run Time Error 2683 "There is no Object in this Control" I have corrected all of the "Missing" References, and have now tried to re-register all of the references. Am still coming up with this error. This is the code: Code: Private Sub StartDate_MouseDown(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single) Set cboOriginator = StartDate StartDateCalendar.Visible = True StartDateCalendar.SetFocus If Not IsNull(StartDate) Then StartDateCalendar.Value = StartDate.Value Else StartDateCalendar.Value = Date End If End Sub The previous references that were missing were Microsoft Excel 14.0 Object Library and Microsoft Outlook 14.0 Object Library. I've changed them to 12.0. I also have the following references selected: -Visual Basic for Application -Microsoft Access 12.0 Object Library -OLE Automation -Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library -Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.8 Library Any help would be greatly appreciated. « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Email this Page Display Modes Linear Mode Switch to Hybrid Mode Switch to Threaded Mode Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post atta
