I know very little about Access but as a volunteer registrar, I need to use a particular database developed in 2007 and I am using Access 2010. Can anyone please help me?!! Thank you. If it was moved from another computer along with the backend in a folder together then it should try to reconnect with it automatically as long as they are still in the same folder, together. Can you get into the database at all? if not try using the bypass (shift key) during loading. to see what you can see. I would make a copy before doing anything. As a side note (watch out) if you are making any design changes in 2010 and there is a chance this will need to be used in A2007 again. Lots of issues to resolve if you do. The persons on this Forum are absolutely great in helping once they understand what is in your situation. We sometimes don't come accross in a way others are accustomed to though. We have recently converted from Excel 2000 and Access 97 and I have upgraded my spreadsheets and databases accordingly (this code all worked fine in the old versions). My problem arises when I try to get my Excel vba (v6.5) code to write data to my Access 2007 database. My code is as follows: Dim Db As Database Dim rst As Recordset Dim i As Integer Set Db = OpenDatabase("p:\effy_sta\MyDatabase 2007.accdb") Set rst = Db.OpenRecordset("MyTable", dbOpenDynaset) When it gets to the ‘Set Db = OpenDatabase("p:\effy_sta\MyDatabase 2007.accdb")’ line of the code I get an error stating: Runtime error ‘3024’ Could not find file ‘p:\effy_sta\MyDatabase2007.accdb’ As I said, I ran this code successfully in my older versions of Excel and Access. I have the following references set (but I don't really understand what they are and what they do): Microsoft Excel 12.0 Object Library Microsoft Access 12.0 Object Library Microsoft DAO 3.6 Ob

I have queries that generate the data I need to archive, and I have created code that creates a new database that I want to runtime error export the archive data to. I then use DoCmd.TransferDatabase to send the results of the queries to the new database. I am getting a run-time error 3024 which tells me the destination database cannot be found. Yet it does exist, in precisely the same path and name as it says it cannot find. I know nothing is misspelled as the path name used to create the new database is passed access vba runtime to the routine that uses transferdatabase. Does anyone know if this is a bug and how to get around it?
