I am trying to understand how this has come about and why. Is it fixable? access-vba ms-access-2010 share|improve this question asked Jun 9 '15 at 20:35 Marchese Il Chihuahua 4551826 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted i also encounter that error when i use a large amount of data. what i http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30742320/run-time-error-7-out-of-memory did was, i divided the records chunk by chunk just to execute the query successfully. the link below could also be some help https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/161255 share|improve this answer answered Jun 10 '15 at 2:28 san-san 498 Sorry, what do you mean by dividing the records? By the way, I have copied my code into another database and the problem is no longer present but I am wondering if it is just hiding and waiting to lurk it's evil head. –Marchese Il Chihuahua Jun 10 '15 at 3:22 1 have you tried to repair and compact your database? i also suggest to open then close your database regularly to release the allocated memory –san-san Jun 11 '15 at 4:52 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote This can be when the microsoft application has allocated all of the memory it can. Usually just closing the application and reopening it releases the memory and sorts the problem out. I experience this when I am refreshing large data sets linked to pivot tables. Sometimes I have to refresh the pivots 1 by 1 saving and closing in between. I even created a macro to do that for me. share|improve this answer answered Jun 10 '15 at 14:53 Bee_Riii 406 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sig

It has worked a long time but not for the last vba runtime error two days. I get this error: Run-time error '7': Out of memory I have searched a lot , but I don't understand the problem. When I shutdown computer and after open it, then it works correctly, but after I get error again. It gives error in this part: 'create range with Cell Set oChart = oInShapes.Chart oChart.ChartData.Activate ' ***Note: It gives error here*** 'Set oWorkbook = oChart.ChartData.Workbook Set oWorksheet = oChart.ChartData.Workbook.Worksheets("Tabelle1") Set oRange = oWorksheet.Range(Cell) Public Sub updatechart(Doc As word.Application, ChartName As String, ChartTitle As String, Cell As String, data As String)` Dim oInShapes As word.InlineShape Dim oChart As word.Chart Dim oWorksheet As Excel.Worksheet 'Dim oWorkbook As Excel.Workbook Dim columnArray() As String Dim rowArray() As String Dim oRange As Range Dim i As Integer Dim j As Integer For Each oInShapes In Doc.ActiveDocument.InlineShapes ' Check Shape type and Chart Title If oInShapes.HasChart Then 'create range with Cell Set oChart = oInShapes.Chart oChart.ChartData.Activate ' ***Note: It gives error here*** 'Set oWorkbook = oChart
an "out of memory" error: Form_Confirmation.txtDept = cboDept.Text Before this line of code I don't query any data or open any DAO connections, Im only checking the entered values in various text boxes and combo boxes on a form. I have also tried rebooting my computer and it still gets stuck at the same line. What i basically want to do is just move data entered into text boxes on a shipping order form i created and present that data on another form to confirm the entered data. The error occurs when i try to move data from one form to another. The database is still only 1MB with only 5 tables, each with only a few records in them just for testing. Do i need to install a service pack or download something to fix this error? It is causing one of the users (and I have only once had the error message myself) the following error message:"There isn't enough free memory to update the display. Close unneeded programs and try again."This error message occurs when the user is doing data entry via the forms and navigating between forms in the database. The form, on which the error occurs becomes oversized and does not display all the information. The user is forced to shut down the database, re-open it, and then it works fine....but eventually the error re-occurs.I found Microsoft's article 236977, but it applies to working with Forms in Access 2000. This problem is happening in Access 97, and none of the causes listed in the article apply.Has anyone every come across this....and do you know of a solution? Thanks,BJS View 1 Replies View Related General :: Database Opening With Out Of Memory Error Nov 14, 2014 In the database that I use at work sometimes when we OPEN it we get an immediate error saying out of
