It worked well untill last week or so. I am running it on a Windows based PC with lots of storage space, a 1GB of Ram using windows Xp. I tried to open it rescently and it would not open. Instead I got a Runtime Error! On the error box, the application says " This application has requested the Runtime to

terminate in an unusual way, Please contact the application's support team for more information" I tried calling tech support but they directed me to this forum without offering any other help what so ever. Please help me solve this issue since Illustrator is one of our most used program. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not wish to upgrade to CS3 ort CS4 yet since CS2 works perfectly for us. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Edgar Flor 1297Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 1 reply 1. Re: Illustrator CS2 Runtime Error Mylenium Apr 2, 2009 9:14 PM (in response to (Edgar_Flor)) Well, did you run any Windows Updates? It's possible, some critical system DLL has been replaced with a newer version. Does your Event Viewer note the faulting module? It started all of the sudden. I used Illustrator Wednesday evening. Thursday afternoon was the next time I tried to use it. That's when the message started. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it still isn't working. Have you figured out what was causing your issue? The only thing that I did Wednesday night was run disk defrag (my PC really needed it). Can I undo that to see if the runtime error goes away?
