Runtime Error 5 Invalid Procedure Call Or Argument Fix
USA ID: 3 Posted January 10, 2012 Hello and Please do the following and let us know if it fixes your issue: Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it. is a runtime Error 5 invalid procedure call or arguement? Discussion in 'Software' started by Cacyclst, Jun 9, 2012. Cacyclst http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/what-is-a-runtime-error-5-invalid-procedure-call-or-arguement.260069/ Private E-2 I am trying to install MalwareBytes on my new laptop and when I try to open it the Runtime Error 5 keeps popping up and will not allow the program to open. Anyone know hot to get rid of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cacyclst, Jun 9, 2012 #1 Major Attitude Co-Owner MajorGeeks.Com Staff runtime error Member According to Malwarebytes support forum you should download it again and try a reinstall. Keep in mind that if you are infected it is possible that the malware is blocking the install of Malwarebytes. If a second attempt to install it fails, restart your computer and tap the f8 button until you see a screen with choices. Choose "safe mode runtime error 5 with networking" then download and install Malwarebytes. If you have to reboot return to safe mode and scan from there. Let me know how you make out.
