Thread Starter Joined: Mar 31, 2005 Messages: 60 My wife uses AOL 8.0, and she is constantly getting these error messages while browsing or doing other various functions while in AOL 8.0: A Runtime Error has occurred Do you wish to Debug? Line xxxx (the number varies) Error: Object Expected Sometimes the last line is "Error: Unterminated String Constant" Most of the information I have found is for people who write code or design web pages. She does neither, she only uses AOL for browsing, email, etc. What is the cause of these error messages, and how can we get rid of them? (She also has AOL 9.0 on the same Windows XP computer, but it gives the same type of errors, and she prefers AOL 8.0) Ken R., Sep 16, 2007 #1 blues_harp28 Trusted Advisor Joined: Jan 9, 2005 Messages: 17,847 Hi try. These options are already set as you suggested, however, one option says, "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)", and a second option says, "Disable Script Debugging (other)". This one was unchecked, so I checked it. But she never uses Internet Explorer, she always uses AOL's own browser, but I will see if this setting affects AOL's browser.
