Recently I've received the message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library has encountered a runtime error with Program:C/ProgramFiles/InternetExplorer/iexplore.exe and the program closes. I've tried Mozilla Firefox and I receive a similar error and sometimes Firefox won't even come up. I tried disabling and enabling add-ons one at a time, but nothing seems to work. The error message doesn't appear on certain websites or as soon as I open IE. It occurs at random times and when I try to re-open IE, the message appears again. It works fine after I restart my computer. Please, if anyone can help. This just started to happen today, worked fine yesterday. I try to open explorer, from desktop or an email link and get this message: Microsoft Visuall C++ Runtime library Runtime Error! Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe This runtime error application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more info. XP does not try to send an error message, like it does when something crashes. I tried a system restore to yesterday but that didn't work. Thought I'd try here for any suggestions before restoring any earlier. Thanks for any help! One of the add-ons is probably causing this. See: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP... -- Ramesh, Windows XP MVP http://windowsxp.mvps.org "NotYou"
