I have updated windows and Internet explorer numerous times but to no avail, and the error message has been the same ever since http://c.runtime.error.citing.cl-xml.org/ the problem started (so long ago now I cannot begin to remember what may have triggered it). Basically whenever I initiate Internet Explorer I'm greeted straight away with an error message box. The box is titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". In the main window of the error message is a white "X" on a red circular background, and the text "Program: D:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" and http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/in-xp-iexplorer-will-not-open-citing-c-runtime-error then "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." Microsoft are their usual standard, impregnable unhelpful selves and none of their suggested generic remedies seem to make any difference. Anyone got some ideas? My understanding of C++ Runtime and related PC functions is minimal. Many thanks! Reports: · Posted 7 years ago Top milnerw Posts: 528 This post has been reported. Why is it pointing to the D drive?
