Guest I have seen numerous posts on the follow error. But none of the resolutions seem to apply to Internet Explorer. Here is the actual error. It occurs one time after each reboot. Microsoft Visual C++ http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/runtime-error-program-c-program-files-internet-explorer-iexplore.733975/ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe This application has requested the Runtime http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/194296/microsoft-visual-c-runtime-library-iexploreexe-error-no-solution-seems-to-work/ to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. After clicking OK the dialog box closes. Starting IE again will result in NO error message and IE will start. -- Robert Hill Guest, Jan 20, 2005 #1 Advertisements Jan Il Guest Hi Robert Try the following and see runtime error if it helps: Disable the Script Debugger in IE (Line 142) - Win XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Hope this helps Jan Smiles are meant to be shared, that's why they're so contagious. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library iexplore.exe error- no solution seems to work Started by pink26 , Jan 11 2009 12:57 PM Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next This topic is locked 17 replies to this topic #1 pink26 pink26 Members 9 posts OFFLINE Local time:04:06 PM Posted 11 January 2009 - 12:57 PM I have IE 7 with Windows Service Pack 3. Recently I've received the message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library has encountered a runtime error with Program:C/ProgramFiles/InternetExplorer/iexplore.exe and the program closes. I've tried Mozilla Firefox and I receive a similar error and sometimes Firefox won't even come up. I tried disabling and enabling add-ons one at a time, but nothing seems to work. The error message doesn't appear on certain websites or as soon as I open IE. It occurs at random times and when I try to re-open IE, the message appears again. It works fine after I restart my computer. Please, if anyone can help. It's very annoying!DDS (Ver_09-01-07.01) - NTFSx86 Run by Owner at 12:35:21.17 on Sun 01/11/2009Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.13 BrowserJavaVersion: 1.6.0_11Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600.3.1252.1.1033.18.382.49 [GMT -5:00]AV: Norton Internet Security *On-access scanning enabled* (Updated)FW: Norton Internet Security *enabled*============== Running Processes ===============C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost -k DcomLaunchsvchost.exe
