I usually looked them runtime error 216 delphi up in my old Borland Pascal for Windows help file - now they are runtime error 217 delphi here for fast access: 1Invalid function number 2File not found 3Path not found 4Too many open files 5File access denied 6Invalid file handle runtime error 105 delphi 12Invalid file access code 15Invalid drive number 16Cannot remove current directory 17Cannot rename across drives 100Disk read error 101Disk write error 102File not assigned 103File not open 104File not open for input 105File not open for

AM delphi128 I have a Delphi program that processes medical transcription. The raw document is opened in runtime error 5 vba excel Word and, based on parameters in the document's custom document

properties, the Delphi program instructs Word to load and execute different macros. Again, depending on

the document's built-in or custom document properties, the macros will do different processing on the document, reformatting, adding headers and footers, etc., including updating built-in or http://www.delphifaq.com/faq/delphi/delphi_ide/f153.shtml custom document properties. The processed document is saved and the macros unloaded. Then the whole process is repeated for the next document. We process 1200-1500 documents per day. Several times a day we get a Runtime Error 5 displayed by Word's Basic. The same macros may have run many times previously without http://www.delphigroups.info/2/12/996071.html errors and, if we shut down the Delphi program and Word and restart the process, the offending macro on the same document runs fine. I believe that the problem stems from reading or writing the custom document properties, but I am not sure. This is a batch process that runs 24/7. Obviously the RTE 5 causes the whole thing to stop. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Is there a way, at least, to set a timer and shut-down/restart Word if it doesn't return control after a period of time.
