Reply to Thread Back to Threads Runtime error when playing Everquest...Help please Slupton Posted 2010-08-18 11:07 Hi guys, I https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/forum/everquest?msg=87613 have copied and pasted this from a support ticket i have opened hoping that you guy's may be able to offer advise When playing Everquest (SOD Client) via crossover games it often crashes with a Runtime Error **** Microsoft Visual C+ + Runtime Library Runtime Error ! Program; C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe abnormal program termination **** This has happened playing different characters in different zones, it has happened when i am stood still in a zone, sat, in combat and zoning to a different level. I am not running any other application in the background. I have also turned the Pixel shaders off (which resolved a previous graphics issue) but this issue still occurs with or without them I have performed a full scan of the files but this has not helped Thanks in advance Stuart John Burville Posted 2010-08-24 21:20 Stuart, You need to run the command c:\program Files\Sony\everquest\eqgame.exe patchme - this effectively replaces the station launcher process which updates the files etc before the system starts. You have got further than I have, as I am having trouble figuring out how and where to copy the EQ files to, and then how to initiate the application. I get frustrated when I dbl click on something and it does nothing!? Do you have any suggestions to help
