Yours sincerly Thijs Francissen The netherlands thieske_112@hotmail.com Aug 11, 2005 #1 A_DOG73 TS Rookie Posts: 170 hi I've had that problem before after I downloaded something I shouldn't have. To fix this problem I had to do a reinstall of XP. I don't know if your http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/runtime-error-c-program-files-internet-explorer-iexplore-exe.30870/ problem is as serious but I couldn't get IE to work and it was my only option. I didn't actually reinstall XP. My HP computer comes with a nice feature called "Non Destructive System Recovery". It pretty much restores everything to factory defaults. If you don't have that you could reinstall XP if that's what you're running. Did you download something recently that could have caused this?? Do you remember when it happened? You could do a system restore to a time before that happened. Aug 11, 2005 #2 thijs TS Rookie Topic Starter thank you for your comment Thijs. It was recommended to uninstall it, which I have and so far all is well, although it has only been one day, and I had this error pop up again before, when I least expected it. W

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library iexplore.exe error- no solution seems to work Started by pink26 , Jan 11 2009 12:57 PM Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next This topic is locked 17 replies to this topic #1 pink26 pink26 Members 9 posts OFFLINE Local time:02:23 PM Posted 11 January 2009 - 12:57 PM I have IE 7 with Windows Service Pack 3. Recently I've received the message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library has encountered a runtime error with Program:C/ProgramFiles/InternetExplorer/iexplore.exe and the program closes. I've tried Mozilla Firefox and I receive a similar error and sometimes Firefox won't even come up. I tried disabling and enabling add-ons one at a time, but nothing seems to work. The error message doesn't appear on certain websites or as soon as I open IE. It occurs at random times and when I try to re-open IE, the message appears again. It works fine after I restart my computer. Please, if anyone can help.
