topic #11 JRFan007 Posted 09 August 2012 - 02:15 AM JRFan007 Journeyman Members 48 posts This runtime problem didn't happen when I installed dawnguard with my other mods. I played for a few days and skyrim runtime error r6025 hadnt added any new mods when this runtime error started. I deleted a bunch of mods and scripts but I've started several new games since then and that is when this problem started. The solution was to rename that software's registry keys in regedit so that reinstalling created brand new registry keys. That's somewhat advanced and I hold no responsibility if you try doing that. I'd say do another re-install and see what happens.EDITI don't get it, on the other thread you say this problem started after you deleted scripts and mods.Over here you say:This runtime problem didn't happen when I installed dawnguard with my other mods. Ugh I guess it was only a matter of time. I thought that I was lucky running Skyrim, for as long as I did, with no crashes but tonight I get this. runtime error R6025 - pure virtual function https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/752523-runtime-error-r6025-pure-virtual-function/page-2 call http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749 From what I can gather the engine was calling for something that wasn't...there? That's a fairly strange error. Have you replaced any of the DLLs or other files that Skyrim or Steam depend upon? Have you used the LAA/4GB patch? It's a hard programming error to make so I would say possibly to do with your PC if it were not for the sheer number of people experiencing it. Have a Google, quite a few hits. One perso

I reported this on the runtime error old Bug Tracker but Bethesda wiped it when they decided to move the Bug Tracker over to Bethesda.net. For the love of God Bethesda, fix this ridiculous bug left over from Skyrim. There's no excuse whatsoever for this to occur. At least the bug seems to be isolated to popping up when exiting directly to the desktop. Seriously, this needs attention & a fix ASAP. Thank you. AlarictheVisgoth May 10, 2016 8:27 PM (in response to ff7legend) Best of luck getting a response --- once the devs get back from their long overdue vacation that is. This seriously needs addressing. It's an engine-related bug left over from Skyrim seeing as how Fallout 4 & Skyrim were built using the same engine (Creation Engine). Fallout 4 just looks a bit prettier. That's it. Both games use Papyrus & Havok physics engine, both of which are ancient/outdated/full of bugs. Like Skyrim, v-sync cannot be disabled or else the physics go nuts & eventually corrupt one's save game. Also, Fallout 4 suffers from the StrCount (Strings Count) limitation due to it also using a 16 bit integer system, a format that dates back to Windows 2000. No excuse for that either. The same game engine since Morrowind has been recycled/reused by Bethesda with no regard to the horrific limitations this places on the game, particularly the PC version. Totally ridiculous & needs to be addressed/fixed ASA

Where the error occurs and the frequency is variable, but usually once it starts it can occur seconds after a reload of a save, having previously loaded the same save and played on from there for a minute or two. You can play on for a minute and manage to get another save in before it crashes, and then you load up only to rinse and repeat this seconds or minutes later .. Clearly the game becomes unplayable once the problem starts to occur. It can be quite a while after leaving the soul cairn before the errors start occuring, and if you have made it all the way through DarkFall Passage, and progressing the dawnguard quests after there without issue, then you are probably among the lucky people with a machine this problem does not occur on. ( I have three computers, all set up the same for Skyrim in the mod content being used, and can concur the problem does not manifest on all of them ). The start of discovering a solution was in the following post : http://forums.bethso...6#entry22932701 Like jag272 I also have redone from game start many times trying to isolate the problem, and agree that the only solution we have is .. Go back to a save prior to entering the Soul Cairn for the first time, then : A ) If you see one of Jiubs Pages arou
