to this topic #1 JRFan007 Posted 09 August 2012 - 12:00 AM JRFan007 Journeyman Members 48 posts So I have been having a ton of problems lately with Skyrim: CTDs and f****d up https://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/610575007207828140/ scripts screwing up my saves. I have fixed the script errors causing my bloated saves and CTDs but now I'm getting an error that I have never seen before in my 300 hours of playing Skyrim. I have uninstalled/deleted everything Skyrim on my computer and then reinstalled everything from scratch and after around 2 -3 hours I get this error. Then I go to play again thinking that https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/752523-runtime-error-r6025-pure-virtual-function/ it's a fluke and I get another one a few minutes into game play. Googling the problem hasn't done much to help, since their solution was to uninstall, clean the hard drive and then reinstall. Anyone have this problem too and know how to fix it?? I reported this on the old Bug Tracker but Bethesda wiped it when they decided to move the Bug Tracker over to Bethesda.net. For the love of God Bethesda, fix this ridiculous bug left over from Skyrim. There's no excuse whatsoever for this to occur. At least the bug seems to be isolated to popping up when exiting directly to the desktop. Seriously, this needs attention & a fix ASAP. Thank you. I have the same question Show 1 Likes(1) 2876Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 17 replies 1. AlarictheVisgoth May 10, 2016 8:27 PM (in response to ff7legend) Best of luck getting a response --- once the devs get back from their long overdue vacation that is. This seriously needs addressing. It's an engine-related bug left over from Skyrim seeing as how Fallout 4 & Skyrim were built using the same engine (Creation Engine). Fallout 4 just looks a bit prettier. That's it. Both games use Papyrus & Havok physics engine, both of which are ancient/outdated/full of bugs. Like Skyrim, v-sync cannot be disabled or else the physics go nuts & eventually corrupt one's save game. Also, Fallout 4 suffers from the StrCount (Strings Count) limitation due to it also using a 16 bit integer system, a format that dates back to Windows 2000. No excuse for that either. The same game engine since Morrowind has been recycled/reused by Bethesda with no regard to the horrific limitations this places on the game, particularly the PC version. Totally ridiculous & needs to be addressed/fixed ASAP. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. jasper1979 May 12, 2016 8:29 AM (in response to ff7legend) Make sure to report it directly to Beth as well.
