I could not access my Windows Live Messenger program at all - it just wouldn't boot-up. I tried everything I could think of - everything but reformatting! I ran anti-viruses, anti-spyware, anti-malware, CCleaner-ed, Registry Mechanic-ed, etc, etc, etc. Nothing worked. So, what you got to do is: 1. Uninstall the offending program - in my case it was MSN - and all associated programs (eg: SweetIM) 2.
