Fix 2 - Verify that Outlook is the default mail client Open Internet explorer Select Tools menu / Options Select the Programs tab at the top Verify that MS Outlook is listed for E-mail Fix 3 - Close Archive Folders in Outlook Open Microsoft Outlook Click the View menu and click Folder List Within the Folder List find Archive Folders Right click the Archive Folder and choose Close Open CardScan Open CardScan Synchronization (File menu / Data Exchange / CardScan Synchronization) Configure synchronization and synchronize Fix 4 - Outlook Security The error message could be occurring if CardScan is unable to access Outlook due to security (Outlook 2002 or later). To check this, verify that MS Outlook is running in the background while configuring CardScan Synchronization. As the error message occurs, select Outlook to see if any warning messages occur, such as "Another application is attempting to access Outlook". At this warning, choose to allow access. After allowing access, try the synchronization process again. Fix 5- Attempt synchronization with a new CardScan
