If you are convinced your credentials are correct then take a look at your endpoint. Sandbox credentials will not be valid in the production environment and live credentials will produce this error in the sandbox share|improve this answer answered Apr 29 '14 at 11:55 PP_MSI_KevinG 1,45067 2 I was getting the same error as in the original question when I was using the following Golang PayPal package: github.com/crowdmob/paypal. In case someone else runs into a similar error, the relevant PAYPAL_TEST_USERNAME can be found under Sandbox -> Accounts -> Profile -> API Credentials and it will look like username-facilitator_api1.domain.com. It will not be the regular username-facilitator@domain.com. You will also find the relevant PAYPAL_TEST_PASSWORD on that page. The list of PayPal http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/security-header-is-not-valid/ error codes doesn't say much on how to fix this. What you need to do is: Make sure you've selected the correct Gateway Environment (Sandbox/Testing or Live). Make sure you are using the correct Account Email, API Username, API Password, and API signature for the environment you selected. (Your live and test API information will be different.) If in the test environment, make sure that you are logged into developer.paypal.com. This shouldn't be required anymore but is worth a shot. Make sure you have a Site Title set in your WP dashboard General Settings. Try removing any special characters from your membership level names. That should do it!
