It gives error messages that an unknown error has occured and also the timed out error message. All configurations for e-mail are correct and my http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/outlook-2003-send-receive-problems/ connections i fine. Firewall is not preventing access to interent. Is there something I am missing? Outlook especially does not send e-mails that have attachments. Any ideas how to fix this? Then create a new account where the old one was and that should cure the problem till it starts to happen again. That's something that I've found very common with Outlook and Outlook Express the inability to keep the correct Settings and the constant need to renew them. Just remember to delete the Account Settings in the User Profile in Outlook and not the entire Account as you'll loose any stored E-Mail if you just delete the Account through the Account Settings and recreate it things should work for some time.Col

Solved: Outlook 2003 Cannot Send or Receive https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-outlook-2003-cannot-send-or-receive-no-error-message.609992/ - no error message Discussion in 'Business Applications' started by twomikes, Aug 15, 2007. I didn't realize I was going to have so much "fun" doing this, however I will chalk send receive if up to a learning experience. The problem being that I cannot send or receive e-mails. If I create a new e-mail it just sits in my outbox. When pressing Send/Receive, a dialogue box comes up at the bottom of the screen stating "Send/Receive Complete" however the e-mail stays in the outbox. There are no error messages that will give me a send receive error clue as to what I have done or need to do. I can access the Internet and I can send receive just fine on my wireless laptop, so I know my e-mail account is working fine. After viewing the various similar problems in this forum here's what I've tried: reinstalled Office 2003; removed Norton; created a new account - POP3; ran the "Test Account Settings" in E-Mail Accounts - green check marks for all; fiddled with data files to the point of perhaps this is where I am beyond my abilities; Folders for Inbox, outbox, sent items, etc, show up under a folder titled Personal Folders. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me in resolving this problem. Thank you! Create a new profile from the Control Panel -> Mail applet if you haven't already. See if that h
