Solved DFS not replicating certain files Posted on 2009-09-30 Server Software Windows Server 2003 1 Verified Solution 11 Comments 3,558 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-02 Hello, We have two servers running Srv 2003 R2. We have setup replication and a namespace for three shared folders between the two servers. The two servers are on different sites. All client would usually only connect to Server1 as it is local to the site and the second serer is in a data center for backup. Replication is in both directions and recently we have noticed that some files that are on one server are not on the other server. More interestingly is if I create a new text document in the same folder it replicates instantly. If I rename the new file it will replicate the change instantly. If I copy, or rename one of the files that are not replicating it will not replicate to the other server. I had a lot of warning on the server in regards to EventID4202 because the watermark quota was not high enough. I have now increased the quotas by 50% through the DFS Manager Console. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 0 Question by:john_galligan Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 31 Active 5 days ago Best Solution byHenrik Johansson Open/locked files and file locks is not replicated by DFS.
