on the monitor with a new one. I now have video. I was able to find a replacement main board, but it is for a Keno game not the poker game that I needed. I transferred chips from my poker board bally slot machine troubleshooting to the Keno board as follows: U10, U11, U12, U13, U88, U20 and U21. I also changed

the dip switch settings on the Keno board to what the settings were on my nonworking poker board. Now, I have the safe ram error slot machine most common failures message showing.Where do I start? Any help would be much appreciated.Jerry proten: You need a U10 clear chip to clear that error. I picked up mine from "Rudy's". ucanwin: Thank you for the information. Do you know if the clear chip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ-yRz4AnYc for the 5000 series will work? Also, what is the clear procedure. Will instructions come up on the screen when the clear chip is put in and the machine is powered up? proten: The V5500 uses it's own chip and can not use another model chip to clear.Do Not pull any boards or unplug any plugswith the machine powered on !You put the U10 clear chip in the U10 socket and turn the machine on. The screen will say Saferan is being cleared http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=26225.0;wap2 and then it will change andsay that the ram is clear. Then put the U10 game chipback in the socket and restart the machine and play. ucanwin: I received my U10 ram clear chip today and got the game up and running thanks to the information that you provide me. Thank you kindly!Now.......I still have a problem......as I mentioned earlier, I sent my monitor board in to Ceronix for repair. I thought that they had sent me a new board because my board was not able to be repaired. Well, I was mistaken. Upon reading the info that they sent to me, I find that they sent me a different reconditioned board. I also have a different main board that I was able to get as mentioned earlier. The problem I am now having is: When I first got the game running after doing the ram clear, the areas on the screen that should be white are sort of pink. After I played the game for a while, and having the machine turned on and off several times, the pink areas turned to white as they should be. Now, it's back to pink again and nothing seems to make that go away. My question is......could this be a problem with the reconditioned monitor board, or could it be a problem on the main board? Any ideas on what I can do to correct this problem? Other than the color probem, the game works fine. Navigation [0] Message Index
simple, it is often caused by low voltage or when the battery gets changed. In the bottom right hand corner of the mb you'll see a 2 pole jumper that reads sram clr or safe ram clear that should have the jumper on only 1 leg, put it on http://en.allexperts.com/q/Gambling-1414/f/Bally-Slot-Problem.htm both legs and slide the mb back in. press and hold the pseudo coin and the http://www.casinotech.com/game_mfrs/bally/tips/misc_subassemblies.html test simultaneously while powering up for about 5 seconds and you should get a CL L code now with all lights flashing. power it down, pull the board, put the jumper back on one leg, reinsert mb, and it should be fixed. pinballwiley wrote at 2007-07-21 00:27:39 The s5500 I'm working on was easy to clear the 83 F error code. Simply power down slot machine the unit, open the MPU tray located under the reels, replace the lithium battery if lower than 3.2 volts, move the SRAM clear jumper (J10 in near right hand corner of MPU board) so that it is across both pins, close the MPU tray, HOLD down the pseudo coin button & test button during power-up, then power down the unit & return jumper J10 to the off (not connected) position. This will cler 83 F errors. Dusty Rusty wrote at bally slot machine 2010-06-15 18:14:28 Hi I have the same problem on my bally the battery was dead so I repaced it and I have the 83-f code with all the lights flashing1 I power down the machine and hold the test and the pseudo button in but it will do nothing so I am still setting with my 83-f code but in my book it says some boards need a DB-25 key in the j3 plug on the front, a hand held format board. I am still working on my problem.
