SQLSTATE (ODBC Error Codes) SQL Server 2016 Other Versions SQL sql server error codes list Server 2014 SQL Server 2012 Warning SQL Server Native Client (SNAC) is not supported beyond SQL Server 2012. Avoid using SNAC in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use it. The Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server provides native connectivity from Windows to Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure SQL Database. SQLSTATE provides detailed information about the cause of a warning or error. For errors that occur in the data source detected and returned by SQL Server, the SQL Server Native Client ODBC driver maps the returned native error number to the appropriate SQLSTATE. If a native error number does not have an ODBC error code to map to, the SQL Server Native Client ODBC driver returns SQLSTATE 42000 ("syntax error or access violation"). For errors that are detected by the driver, the SQL Server Native Client ODBC driver generates the appropriate SQLSTATE.For more information about the state error codes, see the following topics:Appendix A: ODBC Error CodesSQLSTATE MappingsSee AlsoHandling Errors and Messages

Sudden xp_send mail error P: n/a https://bytes.com/topic/sql-server/answers/82346-sudden-xp_send-mail-error Jennifer I've got a job that sends out the results of a stored procedure in an email via xp_sendmail. The job code is as follows: DECLARE @rlist varchar(1000) Declare @Q varchar(100) Select @Q = 'EXEC impact_exec..TLD_Reconciliation' Declare @Sub nvarchar(60) Select @Sub = 'TLD Reconciliation - Condensed Report' SELECT @rlist = 'j******@wbhq.com' exec master..xp_sendmail @recipients=@rlist,@query=@Q, @subject=@Sub The error message I get when running this in Query state 42000 Analyzer is: ODBC error 7410 (42000) Remote access not allowed for Windows NT user activated by SETUSER. In Enterprise Manager the owner of the stored procedure in question is dbo. Our SQL guru here suggested I change the owner of the stored procedure from dbo to myself. I did that and got a warning message that changing the owner will break connections. (I'm paraphrasing here because sql server error I don't remember the exact wording of the warning.) Anyhoo, after changing the owner, and then trying to run the code in Query Analyzer I got the error message that the stored procedure could not be found. I'm not sure what to do here. I've never seen the error message before. This same query worked just fine a couple of days ago. Any ideas?
