Close unneeded programs and try the operation again" The form is a tab control form containing 12 subforms. I suspect that the possible problem exist in a subform that I last made modifications to. The modifications I made were to make some controls invisible and change their tab stop values. Could these changes have cause a problem? Thanks so much for your help! Step through the code as it executes and you will most likely find some infinite loop filling up the call stack.jmh Marked as answer by Bruce Song Thursday, January 26, 2012 9:48 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 4:14 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote jmh_gr wrote: Set a break point in the first line of the Form_Load sub. Typically subform's events are executed before main form events, so make sure you hit the right module. Peter Doering [MVP Access] Marked as answer by Bruce Song Thursday, January 26, 2012 9:4

When I try to print the report on a normal printer (e.g. Lexmark) then it prints fine. However as soon https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20636437/Getting-MS-Access-Runtime-error-'2004'-when-opening-a-report-using-Docmd.html as I set my default printer to be the Barcode printer I get the Runtime-Error 2004. Any ideas??????? Currently we use a very outdated BASIC program to perform the printing. I suppose my worst case scenario will be modify this program and run it from Access (which I don't really want to do!!!). 0 Question by:Twiggy_UK Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 28 Best Solution byTextReport The error error 2004 ("There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. The dbase is used by several staff throughout our office, and has work fine for last few years. Now, one of the staff has had their PC replaced, and the whenever they try to open the switchboard form, they get a run time error '430'. My first thought was that there was something funny with my code. BUT, I created a blank dbase, and ran the switchboard manager to create a new switchboard, and the same thing happens. Code snippet: Private Sub FillOptions() ' Fill in the options for this switchboard page. ' The number of buttons on the form. Const conNumButtons = 8 Dim con As ADODB.Connection Dim rs As ADODB.Recordset Dim stSql As String Dim intOption As Integer ' Set the focus to the first button on the form, ' and then hide all of the buttons on the form ' but the first. You can't hide the field with the focus. Me![Option1].SetFocus For intOption = 2 To conNumButtons Me("Option" & intOption).Visible = False Me("OptionLabel" & intOption).Visible = False Next intOption ' Open the table of Switchboard Items, and find ' the first item for this Switchboard Page. Set con = CurrentProject.Connection stSql = "SELECT * FROM [Switchboard Items]" stSql = stSql & " WHERE [ItemNumber] > 0 AND [SwitchboardID]=" & Me![SwitchboardID] stSql = stSql & " ORDER BY [ItemNumber];" Set rs = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset") rs.Open stSql, con, 1 ' 1 = adOpenKeyset The problem lies with Set con = CurrentProject.Connection I have googled galore, but found no answers, so please help...... 23-07-2008,05:38 PM #2 Jen View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Moderator Join Date Dec 2004 Location Auckland Posts 8,055 Re: Run time error in MS Access Are they using a
