If there have been any QuickBooks Pro 2013 updates, I can't download them because the program will not open. It seems that the product was not properly installed. :( But for us to fix it, instead of just uninstalling and reinstalling the product, I would suggest if we can do clean installation. It will run in XP Pro. Try the following: 1. Using Windows Explorer, find the file reboot.bat in Program Files\Intuit .. Once you have located the file, close Explorer and run cmd (command) to open a DOS window. Navigate to the above folder and run reboot. That repairs QuickBooks. 2. If that fails, find your QB CD and find the patches for QB V2006. I think they are still on the Intuit site. Then uninstall, restart and re-install QuickBooks.
