I want to post on my undefined index http_host wp cli facebook page using php CRON scripts like every 6 hours. When executing from cron your PHP script is like GCI one, more precisely its CLI (command line interface - php-cli). So as you can imagine, there is no web server and there is no HTTP_HOST. PS: You can transfer data (urls, hostname or whatever you like) as command line arguments to PHP: Command line usage Addition: $php -f cronjob.php HTTP_HOST=www.mysite.com #example share|improve this answer edited Jan 15 '15 at 17:36 answered Oct 10 '12 at 11:24 Rolice 2,48511121 @Mogria, I have added addition above. –Rolice Oct 10 '12 at 11:31 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote If you run your script from a terminal, or a cron job,

For example, the config file in markjaquith/WordPress-Skeleton has the following line: define( 'WP_CONTENT_URL', 'http://' . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . '/content' ); If you run wp without passing https://github.com/wp-cli/wp-cli/issues/730 a --url parameter, you will get a warning: Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_HOST in /Users/User/.composer/vendor/wp-cli/wp-cli/php/wp-cli.php(20) : eval()'d code on line 19 Several workarounds were discussed in #676 (comment). We already try to guess the URL by doing some ugly wp-config.php parsing via regular expressions. A more reliable way would be to do a database query: need to account for the case where WP isn't installed yet; see #663 need to account for multisite scribu referenced this issue Aug 27, 2013 Closed upgrade to 0.12-alpha breaks WP-CLI installation #676 wp-cli member scribu commented Aug 31, 2013 A more reliable way would be to do a database query: There's a logical problem with that: we want to do a query before loading the wp-config.php file, but the database credentials are inside the wp-config.php file. jeremyfelt added a commit to washingtonstateuniversity/WSUWP-Platform that referenced this issue Oct 30, 2013 jeremyfelt https://github.com/wp-cli/wp-cli/issues/2431 Projects 0 Wiki Pulse Graphs New issue PHP Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_HOST in phar:///usr/local/bin/wp/php/WP_CLI/Runner.php(756) #2431 Closed jgraup opened this Issue Feb 2, 2016 · 9 comments Projects None yet http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=161&t=91407 Labels state:unconfirmed Milestone No milestone Assignees No one assigned 2 participants jgraup commented Feb 2, 2016 I followed the instructions of downloading the file, allowing execution, undefined index then placing in .../bin/wp. wp --info works fine until I run the command in my WP directory. You'll want to make sure you have a conditional around it. Related #730 Partially related #1631 danielbachhuber closed this Feb 2, 2016 jgraup commented Feb 2, 2016 That was the problem exactly. I never had a way to check that error until now so thank-you for the quick response. After adding some empty checks I don't have any errors, but I also don't have any output. Is there something else that can cause this to go silent? --info shows but nothing beyond that. wp-cli member danielbachhuber commented Feb 2, 2016 After adding some empty checks I don't have any errors, but I also don't have any output. Can you try with --debug and share the output? --info intentionally doesn't load WordPress. jgraup commented Feb 2,
