Quickbooks Unrecoverable Error During Rebuild
20036 82349. What would cause it? This is a new installation on a new Win 7 system. I quickbooks unrecoverable error when sending email am converting from QuickBooks Quickstart 2007. The old company file converted ok and I was able to see the data and change a few options. Now, when I restart Quicken, https://community.intuit.com/tags/unrecoverable%20error I get an "Unrecoverable Error" dialog code 20036 82349. If I hold down CTRL and try to use the sample file I get the same error. The report references the .nd file. I have uninstalled & re-installed Quickbooks. The built-in File Doctor indicates no error with the file. I installed the update and still have the problem. You also mentioned that this is happening on QuickBooks sample file which means this is more on application problem. We can run a selective start up and see if this will work. Client is running QB Pro 2005 on an XP (don't remember if it's Pro or Home) laptop, standalone. When opening the company file, we get the "unrecoverable error": 'Quickbooks has experienced a problem and must be shut down. We apologize for the inconvenience' (at least they're apologetic!) The error code was 16135 70454. I copied the file to my system, which is a standalone XP Pro machine with QB Premier Acct. 2005. I was on R4 and when I tried to open the file, got the same error with a code of 7116. Then just for fun, I updated to R6 and now I get error code 16460 30633. Any ideas? Opening the sample company is fine, and other company files too, so it must be something in the data. Help! Is this a job for Shannon? Or the client seems to be OK with re-keying data into a restored backup (from several weeks ago, but oh well!) I suggested that it could be a data corruption problem and she is of course wondering how such things happen. She did mention that her son had installed some Java plug-in to play a game. Could that have caused a conflict and caused damage? __________________ Lisa Peterson Streamline Consulting, Inc. I don't see any other solution apart from Suzanne's majicians, my money's on a data corruption. I'm sure you'll be urging your client to daily backups without any prompting from me! As to the Java plug-in: QB isn't usually sensitive about other application installations, I doubt that this is the problem.
