I found this link that demonstrates (Despite the contradictory wording of the introductory paragraph) that there was two separate installers for each bitage. share|improve this answer answered Jun 4 '13 at 18:17 user66001 4441928 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. It was disabled.By enabling and starting this service, I was able to launch the VPN client and establish my VPN connection without getting this error message again.PROBLEM SOLVED.Why did I post this? While troubleshooting I found the same problem described in this forum back in 2012 (titled "What is VPN service component?"), and would love to post this reply to that thread, but that thread is closed. Thus I have to start a new thread to post this solution.message edited by Trotters See More: Nortel VPN Client Failed to connect to VPN service component Reply ↓Report • #1 Derek June 21, 2016 at 06:52:57 Thanks for the information - it could help someone.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks Reply ↓Report • #2 AlwaysWillingToLearn June 21, 2016 at 06:53:50 EDIT: Nothing to postmessage edited by AlwaysWillingToLearn Reply ↓Report • Start a discussion Related Solutions› [Solved] Failed to connect to a Windows Service › [Solved] failed to connect to a windows service › [Solved] Password invalid - windows 7 user profile failed to log on › dreamweaver install error - ISKernel File failed to install › windows 7 failed to start after restored to factory settings › failed to connect to windows services › [Solved] How to restart laptop af
