Vuze Disk Read Error Flush Inconsistent Entry Length Position Wrong

I'd gotten around 80% of it. Yesterday after a vuze disk read error out of memory brief software update (OSX Snow Leopard) I suddenly lost the connection and got an error. Or multiple files? You said a file but I just want to be sure. If it is indeed a single file . . . the fact that you ran out of disk space might explain the problem. I am far from on expert on such things . . . but I would suspect that if you started writing a file and you ran out of space that the HD would go a bit haywire. You repaired the disk using disk utility (which seems like the right step to me) however, due to you running out of space and repairing the disk etc it is very possible that you really only have about 18% of the file at this point. En fait, depuis que j'ai mis à jour Azureus avec Vuze. Voici la solution que j'ai pu apporter : Visiblement ce sont les fichiers d'échange qui posent problème. Vuze semble passer par ceux-ci avant de copier le fichier sur le disque dur. So I had to do a little digging, and the culprit turned out to be other processes. This is really weird. The error that Vuze would spew out consistently was "File close fails: flush fails, open fails" and it would go on rambling about not able to access a file. Now there are two things vuze disk to notice here:1.The problem would not happen when you would immediately restart the torrent.2.The problem would occur to random files (But mostly to those files that are being downloaded/written to).Some process was obviously locking the file and preventing it from being written to by Vuze. So how do we solve this? I would not give out a process name yet, but I'll write the steps that you can use to find the culprit process. You would need the following 2 utilities.1.Unlocker2.Process disk write error ExplorerNow whenever you encounter the problem, it would present itself with this kind of dialog:I have done a shabby work of blacking out the file that was causing the problem, but don't worry, it won't be blackened out in the dialog on your computer.Next, you want to go to that file and right click on it to select unlocker.My Unlocker window reported these:Azureus (Well, that figures)DllHost (Aha! What's this?)To find out the trouble causing process we proceed to process explorer. Before we go there, let me give you a sneak preview of the culprit. It's Windows! Anyway, when I checked for the DllHost process in process explorer, it wasn't missing. But I noticed that the explorer was open with that folder. Anyway, a few weeks ago I downloaded a few torrents and started them in Azureus. I was headed out of town for about 10 days and was going to leave my computer running while gone so I could access any files I needed. With the torrents I downloaded running, my computer would have something to do for the 10 days I'd be gone. But no sooner had I walked out the door and gotten a chance to check on my computer then I started noticing some strange errors in Azureus. I was suspicious at first that it may have to do with the fact that I was downloading a whole bunch of torrents and may have run out of hard drive space on my "torrent" drive (an old 80gb drive used just for torrents). I checked the drive space and it was getting low, so I stopped a few of the torrents, deleted the files they had downloaded, and figured that would solve the problem, freeing up some space. No such luck. The next time I logged into my computer I found the same errors. There are, in fact, two separate errors that pop up and I wasn't really sure what was going on. The first error says: File close fails: D:\torrents\**************** (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process), open fails, flush fails The second error says: Disk read error - D:\torrents\******************* (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process), open fails If you look closely at the error messages, the error is on a specific part of the torrent that is being downloaded (in this case they are .avi files). I wasn't sure what the problem was, but continued to think that it may just be these particular torrents since I had never had this problem before or it may be tied to my earlier problem with the hard drive being too full. Either way, if I stopped the torrent and then started it again, the torrent would reset (Azureus would check each torrent again) and then run for a while before giving me the error again. Since I could get it to go away and each torrent would run for a few hours before running into the error, I figured I could live with the problem for a while. Well, I tried that, but eventually the error messages got so bad that I decided to do a little sleuthing on the internet to see if anyone had encountered a similar problem. It took some searching, but I finally found someone who had a solution to the problem. The culprit wasn't my low hard drive space, Azureus, or the torrents.
