Opposing Force Fatal Error

Opposing Force. After downlading them I played Half Life. No problems. However, I went to play Blue Shift and whilst it was loading it seemed to freeze on the screen. I had http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1635519.html to close it through task manager and I tried again. I tried many times and it kept freezing. It was loading for about a second and just stopped. I tried Opposing Force and saw it had the same problem. However, I repeatedly tried and it actually worked. I then closed it and opened it again and was confronted by the same problem. Half Life has no problem. It's just Blue Shift and Opposing Force. w_loadwadfile couldn't I saw somewhere that Blue Shift has a long loading time so I opened it and left it but no result. Is this normal? If not PLEASE help because I spent good money on that!! gorpie12-06-2010, 01:33 PMWhat is your OS? Sometimes even with XP, people need to set up a DEP exception (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7169-TIAV-5361#dep) for the game(s), though it's rare. A DEP exception is needed more often in Vista or Win7. You may also w_loadwadfile couldn't load need to set up an exception in your firewall/antivirus program. Just the same problem. gorpie12-07-2010, 01:46 PMTry verifying the game cache files. (In Steam Library, right click on the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.) You may want to change your Steam download region first. Try defragmenting the game cache files, even if it says they aren't fragmented. (Option is in the same place as Verify.) Try deleting the file Steam\ClientRegistry.blob. (Exit Steam first.) evlow12-09-2010, 10:56 AMBrilliant! I verified game cache and SUCCESS! Thanks man! EDIT: Damn, getting the same problem again now on Opposing Force and Blue Shiftbut moslty Blue Shift. Now it's crash
